Pete is an enthusiastic sailor and loves to be on the water but only in OPBs (other peoples boats). He has sailed extensively with Steve and other industry boat owners.
He was introduced to sailing when a friend in his local pub said that there was a space on a boat doing the Fastnet race in 1997. He volunteered and had a bit of a baptism of fire but he was hooked and now sails whenever he can. He unfortunately has to admit that the boat he was on came in last by a large margin!
The idea of this around Britain voyage came from Pete after a days racing on Gamaldansk last summer.
He has a lot to answer for! He hates spinnakers!
